Membership Options
The Chipola Area Board of REALTORS® (CABR) is nationally chartered by the Nation Association of REALTORS. Our geographic area is the 4 counties of Jackson, Washington, Holmes and Calhoun. If your business is listing or selling real estate or if your company is in anyway a support industry for real estate, then you really need to consider the membership and service offerings of our board. Here are some of the membership options that are available.

If you are a licensed salesperson or broker in the state of Florida, you are eligible for the first three options on this list. You would also be a member of the National Association of Realtors and Florida Realtors. At the local level you can belong to more than one association or board, but you will choose one as your primary group. Any others are referred to as your secondary groups. As a Primary or Secondary member you would have specific rights of membership. The main reason to become a member is so that you can be assured that have the cooperation of all other members in selling your listings and that you will be compensated should you sell one of their listings. Realtors have a Code of Ethics that they must follow and guidelines on how we do business. Though we have 17 Standards of Practice telling us the specifics, they are all summed up by the Golden Rule, which we take great efforts to work and live by.
